WEDNESDAY HAUL!!!

So I went into town on Saturday morning with every intention of popping into my local Debenhams and choosing a much coveted Chanel Glossimer. Did that happen? Erm no.. in fact i'm pretty sure that I bypassed the Glossimers completely and for some reason was drawn straight to the foundation section. Now, I dont know about you but I am a total foundation addict and I am constantly on the search for better products that promise more coverage, dewy skin, blah blah blah!! I have combination skin and at the moment have reverted back to my teenage self with some pretty cystic acne :-(

Anyway, I ended up purchasing the Perfection Lumiere foundation in the shade 20 Beige. It has an SPF of 10 & a rather florally smell (which I quite like, others may be put off). I have to say that I am pretty impressed so far. I have been applying it to my face in small sections using my Sigma F84 Angled Top Kabuki brush & then using a setting powder (Collection 2000 Pressed Powder in the colour Candlelight) then finishing it all off with my new MAC Fix +. I will say that this foundation is quick drying & harder to blend if you dot it all over your face and then start to stipple it in, or sponge, or use your hands etc so I would recommend putting it on your skin in small sections at a time i.e. forehead, chin, nose, cheeks.

This is the first ever Chanel product that I have purchased and I was pretty shocked by the price. The foundation cost me £36.00 which would have really put me off if I hadn't already been matched up to the right shade of foundation and coerced into it by the sales lady (lovely as she was!!). Generally, I use MAC foundations that range from £19.50 to £24.50 - & I do LOVE that MAC have their Back to MAC system in place, so I feel like I am getting more for my money with MAC.

All in all, I am super happy that I purchased the Perfection Lumiere but don't actually think that my quest for the perfect foundation will ever be over. If anyone (currently my one whole follower!!) know of any foundations for comination skin that you swear by then please leave a comment below.

Have a great week guys!!
